The first draft was finished around midnight on March 11, 2010. So six weeks for a draft, and approximately 40-60 hours in research. Make some green tea, possibly some porridge, still procrastinating at this point, check the usual; FB twitter, Shooting People etc, then I read through what I wrote yesterday, tweak, and almost seamlessly continue from there.
